George Local Marketplace Hub (george.localmarketplace.store) is an all-in-one digital platform for local businesses and customers in George, Western Cape. The platform includes:

• Online Marketplace — powered by Local Marketplace
• Local Directory — powered by Local Directory (directory.george.localmarketplace.store)
• Job Portal — powered by Local Job Portal (jobportal)
• Community Forum — powered by Local Community Network (portal)
• Daily Local Deals — free deal listings for George businesses
• Local Delivery — via the George Drivers App (drivers)
• Classifieds Listings — local classifieds for goods and services

To access vendor features, you must register an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account details confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Vendor registration is free. By registering, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. George Local Marketplace reserves the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Vendors agree to:

• List only genuine products and services they are authorised to sell
• Fulfil orders promptly and communicate with buyers professionally
• Not list prohibited, counterfeit or illegal items
• Maintain accurate product descriptions, pricing and availability
• Comply with South African consumer protection legislation
• Co-operate with Secure Payments escrow procedures for all transactions

Failure to comply may result in listing removal or account suspension.

All payments on the platform are processed via Secure Payments escrow. Buyer funds are held securely by Secure Payments until the buyer confirms delivery. This protects both buyers and vendors.

Delivery is coordinated via the George Local Drivers App. Vendors are responsible for accurate order preparation and handover to riders. George Local Marketplace facilitates the delivery matching but is not responsible for rider delays or issues outside our control.

The Community Forum (Local Community Network) and Job Portal (Local Job Portal) are free to use. Users must conduct themselves respectfully. Spam, hate speech, misleading job listings or harmful content will result in account suspension.

All platform content, branding and design belongs to George Local Marketplace Hub. Vendors retain ownership of their product listings and images but grant us a licence to display them on the platform. You may not reproduce platform content without written permission.

George Local Marketplace provides the platform as a marketplace facilitator. We are not a party to transactions between buyers and vendors. We are not liable for losses arising from vendor non-performance, delivery issues or disputes resolved via Secure Payments.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.

To become a vendor, you must:

• Be a legitimate business, sole trader or registered entity
• Operate from or serve customers in George, Western Cape and surrounds
• Complete the Local Marketplace vendor registration (vendor-register)
• Agree to Secure Payments’s payment terms for all financial transactions
• Maintain accurate store information and product listings

As a vendor, you have access to the full Local Marketplace Frontend Manager — the industry-leading multi-vendor dashboard. Through this dashboard you can:

• List and manage products and services
• Process and fulfil orders
• View analytics and earnings reports
• Set up coupons and promotions
• Manage delivery zones and time slots
• Chat with customers using [local-chat]
• Manage enquiries using [local-inquiry]
• Configure store hours using [local-store-hours]
• Set shipping time using [local-shipping-time]

You agree that all listings are genuine, accurately described and that you have the right to sell the items listed. Prohibited items include:

• Counterfeit, stolen or illegal goods
• Dangerous items without appropriate disclosure
• Items that violate South African law or regulations
• Misleading or fraudulent listings

George Local Marketplace reserves the right to remove listings that violate this agreement without notice.

All vendor payments are processed via Secure Payments escrow. Funds are held by Secure Payments until the buyer confirms receipt and satisfaction. You agree to cooperate with Secure Payments’s dispute resolution process.

Platform fees: The basic vendor account is free. Vendor Pro upgrades are available — 80% of our profits from Vendor Pro are donated to anti-poverty and economic development projects worldwide.

If you use the Local Delivery Drivers App, you agree to:

• Prepare orders accurately and on time for rider collection
• Communicate delivery zones and time slots accurately in your Local Marketplace Dashboard
• Notify customers of delays or issues promptly
• Co-operate with rider assignment through the George Drivers App

Your business is automatically listed in the Local Directory (Local Directory) when you register as a vendor. You agree to keep your directory profile accurate. Community participation via Local Community Network must comply with community guidelines — no spam, harassment or misleading content.

Either party may terminate the vendor relationship with reasonable notice. George Local Marketplace may suspend or terminate accounts immediately for serious breaches, fraud or repeated policy violations.
