Our core platform — marketplace, directory, job portal, community and delivery — is completely free. We generate revenue from optional Vendor Pro upgrades, and 80% of that profit goes to anti-poverty projects.
How does Secure Payments protect my payments?
Secure Payments is South Africa’s leading payment escrow service. When a customer places an order, funds are held securely by Secure Payments until the customer confirms delivery. This protects both buyers and sellers from fraud on every single transaction — at no extra cost to you.
Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?
Yes, absolutely. You can start with Free Basic — which gives you access to everything you need to launch and grow — and upgrade to Vendor Pro whenever you’re ready. There are no lock-in contracts.
Are there transaction fees?
Our platform pricing is free — no hidden platform fees. Standard payment processing fees from Secure Payments may apply to transactions, as with any payment processor. These are transparently disclosed and are not additional charges from George Local Marketplace.
